Oreshak escargots snail farm (www.oreshak-escargots.com) was established in 2011 in the heart of the Trojan Balkans. Its founders are Vyara Donova and Kalin Dimitrov.
In 2012, a snail farm “PP Helix” (www.pphelix.com) was established near Sevlievo by the founders Paulina Manuilova and Plamen Penchev.
Since 2013, the two farms have been cooperating in the implementation of joint orders related to the export of finished products to Western European countries.
The natural development over the years, supported by unconditional dedication and incredible perseverance, follows its steps towards the creation of its own reproductive halls, a base for storage and expansion of the capacity of the two farms. These are livestock farms, closely specialized in the field of breeding, rearing and storage of cultivated snails of the species Helix Aspersa Maxima.
Step by step the joint work of these farms leads to the establishment of the company “Perlescargots” Ltd. which has its own processing plant and has focused its activities in the preparation of delicacies from snails. The snails used to make these products are bred under the strict control of their owners and the veterinary services of the Republic of Bulgaria. The processing plant, as well as the farms have all the necessary permits and certificates in accordance with the Bulgarian and European legislation.
